Accessibility involves making web pages more accessible
to those with impaired vision (includes blindness and
colour blindness), mobility and hearing impairments.
Increasingly governments around the world are legislating
to ensure that the web becomes more accessible to those
with various impairments.
In May 1999 the World Wide Web (W3C) released a document entitled 'Web Content Accessibility Guidelines 1.0' for the primary goal of promoting accessibility.
Governance
and Planning Services
(G&PS) has done it's best
to ensure that our templates
are compliant with these
specified guidelines.
The
G&PS website has been
checked for its accessibility
using the 'bobby' accessibility
engine and has achieved
the ECU standard of a
Level 'A' rating.

If you feel that any component of this site does not meet the requirements please contact us and we will attempt to remedy the problem.
The G&PS templates
has been adequately tested
using ECU recommended base
level web browsers on both
Windows and Macintosh platforms,
they are:
Windows
- Netscape 7 and later
- Mozilla 1.x and later
- Mozilla Firefox
Macintosh (OS X)
- Apple Safari 2.04 and later
- Mozilla 1.x and later
- Mozilla Firefox
- Camino
Most documents loaded
on the G&PS website will
be in PDF format. You can
download free the Adobe
Acrobat Reader software
for most platforms from www.adobe.com and
selecting "Free Adobe
Reader" from their
menu. |
