New 'Find A Friend Service' from the ECU Alumni Office

The ECU Alumni Office can help you keep in touch with your friends from ECU with the free Find a Friend service.

Complete the Find a Friend form with your details and those of the person you want to contact and use the message box to include a personal note or brief update on what you have been up to.

New Copyright e-Reserve Policy

E-Reserve is an online collection of high use materials made available in digital format via the Edith Cowan University Library's Catalogue. Students can access these materials 24 hours a day via the Internet.

The Copyright (E-Reserve) Policy provides for the E-Reserve to be the official repository of all online and digital copyright materials copied and communicated pursuant to part VB of the Copyright Act . The E-Reserve Policy can be found here.

Environmental Scanning Update

The Policy, Planning and Academic Support team provide a newsletter of environmental scanning information related to, or which might affect, ECU’s policy or planning activities. The newsletter is emailed to a list of interested, or relevant, ECU staff.

Online UTEI System

The Online UTEI System, managed by G&PS, is currently being upgraded. This has been made possible with SIMSC capital expenditure funding to implement all fixes and enhancements identified from a review of its operation since 1 September 2004. Specific changes include:

• assigning units and UTEI data to the School teaching the unit rather than the one owning the unit;
• generating additional UTEI reports to better monitor units and teaching, particularly from units delivered via international offshore programs;
• streamlining data entry processes, requested by the School Administrative Officers, increasing their operational efficiency and effectiveness.
