Our Purpose

Governance Services provides value-adding secretariat support to Council and Council committees, as well as designated Vice-Chancellor's committees. Governance Services helps ensure the smooth handling of committee business and effective decision-making to enhance University governance arrangements. As necessary, it recommends on changes to the ECU Act, Statutes and Rules. The area also provides oversight of records and archives management and handles FOI and other official information requesters (eg Ombudsman's Office).
