ECU Honorary Awards

The University acknowledges and honours outstanding or significant personal achievement, and outstanding or significant contributions to society or to the University, through the award of Honorary Degrees and of the titles of Fellow of the University and Fellow of WAAPA. The Honorary Degree is the University's most prestigious honorary award, and the title of Fellow (of the University or of WAAPA) is a high-level University honour. These awards are conferred only rarely.

Nominations 2008

Nominations for honorary awards are now open, and a nomination form may be downloaded here. The submission deadline has been extended to 12noon on Thursday 16 October 2008.

The policy Honorary Awards of the University sets out the criteria for these awards, and describes the processes of nomination, recommendation and approval.

Honorary Awards Committee

The Honorary Awards Committee is a standing committee of Council. The Committee considers and recommends to Council on nominations for the award of honorary awards and titles.
