DEST Learning and Teaching Performance Fund – Dec 2005

The DEST Learning and Teaching Performance Fund (LTPF) was established by the federal Government to reward a small number of institutions with special funding for their L&T programs and outcomes. The purpose of the fund is to promote the excellence of universities L&T programs, with a focus on rewarding those with higher levels of demonstrated excellence.

This is a summary of the fund and the allocations for 2006.

2005 Summary and Analysis of UTEI Unit Data - June 2005

This report summarises and analyses the UTEI quantitative unit data collected from 2002/2 through to 2005/0 inclusive. The summary provides an information base to assist staff interpret individual UTEI unit data. The analysis quantifies the effects of four factors associated with each unit evaluation, providing an information base to assist staff interpret individual UTEI unit mean overall satisfaction (OS) scores.

2003 Review Report of CEQ Data - 3 August 2004

This report reviews data from the:

  • two ECU KPIs, Course Satisfaction and Quality of Teaching , for which the CEQ is the source; and the
  • four ECU CEQ scale scores, Overall Satisfaction , Good Teaching , Generic Skills and Graduate Qualities ; for the University, its faculties and schools. It identifies sources of strength and opportunities for improvement in CEQ outcomes for the University, its faculties and schools.

Unit and Teaching Evaluation Instrument (UTEI) Review - Feb 2004

A review of the UTEI system was conducted at the end of 2003 by ECU Policy, Planning and Academic Support. The terms of reference included reviewing all aspects of the UTEI system, namely the instrument, the policy, data collection methods used, the data, its access and use. For each aspect of the UTEI system, the report summarises the relevant evidence, identifies the key issues and lists the findings.
