The Information Security Team is responsible for:
- Setting policy for the protection of the University’s information assets
- Researching and recommending systems and software to protect the University’s information assets
- Raising awareness within the university community regarding information security
- Proposing measures and systems that will monitor breaches to information security
- Monitor and control security aspects of ECU’s information and technology environment on an ongoing basis
- Investigation and documentation of security breaches in conjunction with other IT sections
- Investigation of complaints about security breaches originating form ECU facilities
- Recommending remedial measures to prevent and rectify any breaches to ECU’s information environment
