Help and Support for Elluminate Live
There are a number of resources available from Elluminate. These are available as either pre-recorded Elluminate sessions or as documents that are downloadable from the site and include the following:
Starting Elluminate Live! via MyECU
Elluminate Live! is an online collaboration tool which enables groups to communicate using text and voice and to share presentations, websites, documents, their desktops and applications.
If you are using it on campus, in a lab or via the ECU wireless network, then a few settings are required to set up the ECU Proxy, through which you need to authenticate to access the internet.
Read more about connecting through the ECU Proxy server
Also if you are launching an Elluminate session via Internet Explorer you will need to open the session in a new window by right-clicking the "join" button and selecting "Open in new window". You could also try using Firefox as an alternative.
Software and Settings for using LAMS
LAMS is available to use in Blackboard and your lecturer may have set up sequences for you to work through in your unit.
If you find that you have problems using LAMS via Blackboard please check the following:
General Tip: Error Messages and other Technical Problems
Any MyECU user problems/queries relating to logging into the system (i.e. login details like user name and password) or other technical system-based/IT problems should be directed to the IT Service Desk (6304-6000, help@ecu.edu.au).
Student Tip: My unit is not listed in MyECU
If you think your unit should have an online component in MyECU but you can't see one listed when you login to MyECU (under the MyECU Sites tab), then here are a few things to try.
Staff Tip: MyECU Administrative Support
Requests for MyECU administrative support should be forwarded to the following school and/or CLT staff.
Alternatively, queries/requests can be directed to the IT Service Desk (9370-6000, help@ecu.edu.au).
Staff Tip: MyECU Training Contacts
One-on-one MyECU training is available by contacting either a Flexible Learning Developer (FLD) or an Educational Designer (ED) appropriate to your faculty (please see list of possible contacts below).
Staff Tip: MyECU User Guide
The MyECU Staff User Guide (pdf) should be a handy guide to keep for reference.
Student Tip: Support Contacts
For help and support, these numbers should be your first point of contact.
