Problem with Random Test Questions
We have discovered an issue with tests in MyECU sites that have settings for randomised questions.
If random question options are used Students can be locked out of the test and will be unable to get back in.
We therefore recommend that lecturers and tutors do not use these options until further notice. Blackboard support have been notified and we are waiting for a fix for this problem.
Apologies for any incovenience.
Some Tips for Avoiding Problems
When building a basic Blackboard quiz make sure that you leave the Randomize Questions checkbox unchecked when setting the test options.
Also, to be on the safe side, do not check the Specify random ordering of answers in the display options found under Creation Settings.
And do not use the Random Block option when choosing question types from the drop down list on the Test Canvas.
