ECU library search button available for Google toolbar
You can now add an ECU library catalogue search button to your Google toolbar.
This brings the library catalogue search several clicks closer and means you don't need to go into the library website to find the catalogue and run your keyword search.
The Google toolbar is a free Internet browser tool available for Internet Explorer and Mozilla Firefox.
To find out more check out the ECU library blog post about about how to set up the catalogue search in your toolbar
Update on the Test/Quiz Problem in MyECU
The fault with the Blackboard test/quiz tool that was causing students' attempts to become locked has now been resolved.
NB We still advise that the options for randomising questions in tests/quizzes are avoided due to an intermittent fault that won't be fixed until the next upgrade of Blackboard.

All Semester 1/2008, Term 1/2008, Term 2/2008, and Trimester 1/2008 sites have been archived (i.e. sites are no longer displayed for access).
Web collaboration technologies trial at ECU
Starting in semester 2, The Centre for learning and teaching will be conducting a 12 month trial of web collaborative technologies in order to evaluate their educational effectiveness and to make recommendations about future purchasing.

Please note that Blackboard will therefore be unavailable from 5pm on Friday 27th June to 8am on Monday 30th June.
Apologies for any inconvenience caused.
Training available in MyECU for MS Office 2007
IT Support Services will shortly begin a staged rollout of Microsoft Office 2007 to staff SOE computers. The installation of this new office suite onto your workstation will give you access to the latest workplace technology Microsoft has to offer, along with the enhanced productivity benefits this will provide.
Office 2007 represents a significant departure from what you have become accustomed to using with Office 2003. Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook and Access sport an entirely different interface with which you will be unfamiliar at first.
