Adhering to the requirements of laws, industry and organisational standards and codes, principles of good governance and accepted community and ethical standards. It includes legal compliance which is the effective control of legal risks in order to ensure that the law is complied with (due diligence). |
| Compliance Coordinator |
The officer responsible for the coordination of the Compliance program throughout the University. |
| Compliance Culture |
The values, ethics and beliefs that exist throughout an organisation and interact with the organisation’s structures and control systems to produce behavioural norms conducive to ethical compliance outcomes. |
| Compliance Program |
A series of activities that when combined are intended to achieve organisational compliance with relevant legislation, statutes and by-laws. |
| Designated Specialist Officer (DSO) |
Specialist staff member/s appointed as responsible for compliance with particular compliance matters . They will work closely with RMAA to ensure that a compliance obligation is addressed at a University level. |
| Regulatory Authority |
Any government body or other organisation responsible for regulating or enforcing compliance with legislative and other requirements. |
