Back from the brink: Saving Britain from financial chaos, lessons for Australia

Former UK Chancellor of the Exchequer, the Rt Hon Alistair Darling spoke about his role in guiding the UK economy through the 2008 financial crisis. 

In what was his only public Australian speaking engagement, Mr Darling also offered his opinion on the economic challenges facing Australia and reflected on his role in leading the successful ‘Better Together’ campaign prior to the Scottish independence referendum in 2014.
