I am pleased to announce the winners of the 2009 Vice-Chancellors Awards for Learning and Teaching. The winners were chosen for their demonstrated expertise, commitment and passion for learning and teaching.

The awards encourage and recognise excellence and achievement in all forms of teaching, as well as innovations, initiatives and services that contribute in diverse ways to student learning.  See the list of winners on Inside ECU.

As we head into the Easter break, I take this opportunity to thank fellow staff for their commitment and contributions to ECU during Summer and the first month of Autumn in what has been a great start to 2009.

The weeks leading up to the beginning of semester and the first few weeks of the academic year are always particularly busy, and I know ECU staff have displayed that extra level of enthusiasm and determination to ensure that their jobs are done, and done well. Thank you!

Have a happy and safe Easter break, and please drive safely.
