It’s my pleasure to join the Executive Dean of the Faculty of Computing Health and Science, Professor Tony Watson, in welcoming Professor Ken Greenwood to the role of Head of School of Psychology and Social Sciences.

Professor Greenwood comes to ECU from the School of Health Sciences at RMIT University in Victoria where he was a Professor of Psychology and Head of School.

He also brings experience from similar roles at the University of Canberra and La Trobe University.

As a Head of School, Professor Greenwood was responsible for managing a diverse group of disciplines and he is excited by the combination of disciplines in the school.

Professor Greenwood is a registered psychologist and a full member of the Australian Psychological Society. With more than 100 publications, mainly in international refereed journals, he will also bring a depth of research focus to the School.

Professor Greenwood is looking forward to relocating to Perth and meeting all of the staff in the School. He takes up the appointment in February 2012.
