IT@ECU of the Future

Thursday, 05 July 2012

I am writing to advise you of an important project starting within our University. Given our role as creators and disseminators of knowledge, it is critical that our information and communications technology (ICT) capability is of a world-class standard.

In consultation with Vice-President (Corporate Services) Scott Henderson and Chief Information Officer Elizabeth Wilson, I have approved a project aimed at transforming the University’s enterprise capability in this area and enhancing the capacity of ECU to benefit from emerging trends in ICT into the future. The project, called IT@ECU of the Future, is to be undertaken over a number of years, with an initial project plan being delivered by the end of 2012.

Mr Henderson and Mrs Wilson will provide further information in due course and keep you updated as the project develops. Stakeholders who will be consulted include students (undergraduate, post-graduate and international) and fellow staff Representatives from ECU’s Schools, Faculties, Centres, Institutes and Offices.
