To hear from an existing WAAPA Name Your Seat donor and why they choose to support the program, see our testimonial below. Name Your Seat TestimonialMs Adele Mackay (Parent of Current WAAPA Acting Student)My first taste of WAAPA came from watching the third-year actors perform their Voice Monologues in March 2006. I was captivated by their talent, energy and creativity, and impressed by the wonderful atmosphere in the audience. The fellow students and staff were attentive, responsive and generous with applause. Before the performance, my son James took me on a quick tour of some of the corridors close to the Music Auditorium. We glimpsed a ballet class in rehearsal, heard jazz, saw a few sets-in-the-making....the buzz of WAAPA is quite electrifying. James is revelling in the excellence of the teaching and the 'esprit de corps' of the students. WAAPA's reputation is considerable, and after that night, I began to understand why. I'm looking forward to as many trips west as possible during his 3 year acting course. I'm delighted that the 'Name Your Seat' program makes it possible to register support for WAAPA's students in a practical as well as a permanent way. |
