Login Information
Information for:.
Existing Students
New Students:
- using computers in the Megalabs or Libraries
- using your own personal computer
If you have forgotten your password, ADS login details or are having
difficulties of a technical nature click here.
Note: SIMO automatically expires after 30
minutes idle time.
Existing
students
If you are an existing enrolled student (as at 4 April 2004), you
will have an active SIMO account. Your username and password are
the same as the login details you use to log onto the computers
in the Megalab and in the Library. This is referred to as the Active
Directory System (ADS) login.
If you have forgoten your password, you need to have it reset. This
can be done by contacting:
Click on 'Login' in the menu bar on the left
hand side of this page and use your ADS username and password to
login to SIMO.

New
Students
As a new student, you will first need to activate your Active Directory
System (ADS) account via the Central
Authentication System (CAS) before you can access SIMO.
New
students (using computers in the Megalabs or Libraries)
If you are a new student (enrolled after 4 April 2004), and you
wish to access the computers in the Megalabs or Libraries for the
first time you will be required to enter 'simo@ecu.edu.au' into the 'user name' field
in the 'Log On To Windows' screen.
No password is rquired. Simply click 'ok' and you will be directed
to the SIMO Homepage.
To activate your ADS account please, click here and follow the instructions for new students (ie 'New Students
activate your student ADS account here')
Note: It may take up to 10 minutes for your
account to be activated. After activating your ADS account, please
restart the computer by pressing Ctrl+Alt+Del and
selecting shutdown and restart.
After you have successfully activated your ADS account and
restarted the machine using your new ADS log in details, you can
proceed to log in to SIMO by clicking on 'Login' in the menu bar on the left hand side of this page.

Students (using your own personal computer)
To activate your ADS account, please go to the Central Authentication
System (CAS) by clicking here and follow the instructions for new
students (ie 'New students activate your student ADS account
here').
After you have successfully activated your ADS account and restarted
the machine using your new ADS log in details, you can proceed to
log in to SIMO by clicking on 'Login' in the menu
bar on the left hand side of this page.

I can't remember my (ADS) logon.
If you don't know your ADS logon, contact
staff in the Megalabs. You can also contact the IT
Service Desk on 9370 6000.

If you encounter problems of a technical nature when trying to login
to SIMO in a Megalab, contact staff in the Megalab counters. Otherwise,
contact your friendly IT Service Desk staff.
