Beta website introduction
At the beginning of this year ECU initiated a project to redevelop the entire corporate website domain (http://www.ecu.edu.au) as an outcome of a review carried out by Deloittes in 2007. The review urged that the ECU website should be improved by an infusion of resources and a complete re-design/re-organisation. The "Beta website" launch is the first release of a two year project. It aims to introduce a fresh new design, clear navigation structure, simplified content areas, more accessibility, and is more service orientated.
With the beta website launch also comes the release of ECU's new staff and student portal system, available via the login box on the beta homepage. The portal systems aim to bring all ECU's separate web systems together in one place, and will become the main entry point for current staff and students in 2009.
