Childcare centres

ECU has childcare centres that provide long day care on its Joondalup and Mount Lawley campuses and at the College Community Childcare Centre, located on the South West Institute of Technology’s Bunbury campus (next to ECU’s South West campus).

The services are community managed and staffed with qualified staff educators and Early Childhood teachers.  Each service is subject to the National Quality Framework and Standards as required by the Australian government. They are licensed services and registered with the relevant Regulatory Authorities.  staff members are not only qualified but are also experienced, friendly and supportive.

Each centre provides children with an enriching learning program of fun experiences, developed in accordance with the Early Years Learning Framework, and is responsive to the interest and needs of the individual child.

The centres are open to ECU's students and staff as well as members of the general community.

Please note the centres do not provide occasional care. See our occasional care page for more information.

Joondalup Early Learning Centre

Joondalup Early Learning Centre is located in Building 12 on the eastern boundary of our Joondalup campus, near Building 19 (the Science Building) and accessible from Lakeside Drive. The centre's philosophy and program are based upon developing trusting relationships focusing on developing children's wellbeing and resilience.  The large natural environment provides the children with many opportunities to explore and learn about the world, whilst having fun and having understanding educators to facilitate and support their learning and development.  It aims to provide, develop, resource and manage a high quality education and care service that fulfils the needs of the community, is accessible and affordable.
