We are committed to reducing our environmental footprint and encourage the achievement of a sustainable community and learning environment.
We acknowledge that as a large organisation we are a significant contributor to greenhouse gas emissions. Because of this, we strive to reduce or offset our total emissions and support staff, students and the broader community to do likewise.
Environmental programs
We have developed an Environmental Management System (EMS) to manage our impact on the environment. The EMS is in accordance with AS/NZS ISO14001.
The EMS is divided into five environmental programs:
- biodiversity;
- energy;
- transport;
- waste; and
- water.
