A book by Kurongkurl Katitjin's Professor Colleen Hayward AM and Menzies School of Health Research's Thelma Perso has been shortlisted in the 2016 Educational Publishing Awards Australia.
The prestigious annual Educational Publishing Awards reward excellence and innovation in the industry. Awards are judged by a panel of peers, and each year teachers and booksellers vote for the coveted Publisher of the Year award.
Featured in the Tertiary (Wholly Australian) Student Resource category, the book Teaching Indigenous Students aims to empower teachers to help halt the cycle of disadvantage for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander students and make a real difference to their relationships, learning outcomes and opportunities in the short and long term.
Winners will be announced on Thursday, 6 October 2016.
