Google Scholar

You can also find items held by the ECU Library by using Google Scholar.

Google Scholar is a Web search engine run by Google that indexes scholarly literature, like peer-reviewed journals, academic books, conference papers, and more.

Google Scholar interlinks with ECU Library systems. Google Scholar returns a lot of results, some of which may be available via free PDF, however many are behind Library database paywalls. By linking your Google Scholar account with ECU Library, Google Scholar will allow you to link directly to our subscription databases, allowing you free access to material ECU owns.

  • Go to the Settings menu on the Google Scholar site, select Library Links, and search for 'Edith Cowan University', then save.
  • When searching Google Scholar select the 'FindIt@ECU' link to connect to the articles in the ECU databases.

For more information about linking Google Scholar with ECU Library systems, please see the Search Engines and Library Databases Library Guide and watch the Using Google Scholar with ECU video.

For any problems setting up ECU Library Links in Google Scholar, please contact the Library.
