Using ebooks

For more information on using eBooks, please see the eBooks library guide.

ECU library has a large collection of eBooks available for students and staff to use. eBooks can be accessed online at any time, and can be downloaded for later offline viewing.

You can use ECU Worldsearch to search for eBooks held by the ECU library. See the finding materials page for more information on how to limit searches by using filters.

For any problems accessing the Library's online resources, please contact the Library.

eBook apps

To download and view eBooks on your computer or devices, you will need to download either Adobe Digital Editions or the Bluefire Reader app.

Adobe® Digital Editions allows you to download digital content, which can be read both online and offline. You can transfer copy-protected (DRM) eBooks from your personal computer/laptop to other computers or devices. You will need to set up an Adobe® Digital Editions account ID to download supported eBooks on your personal computer or other device.

Bluefire Reader is a free app available for Apple and Android devices. This app allows you to view DRM PDFS and epub formats. You can use the same Adobe® Digital Editions account ID to download supported eBooks on Apple devices. Get the app via the iTunes store or Google Play.
