Our Office of Governance Services oversees ECU's governance framework and comprises of Council and committee support, University-wide records management, student complaints, and communication with the ECU Student Guild. We also help ensure the smooth handling of committee business and effective decision-making to enhance governance arrangements. When necessary, we recommend changes to the ECU Act, Statutes and Rules, as well as provide an oversight of records and archives management, and handle FOI and other official information requests (e.g. Ombudsman's Office).

Records and Archives Management
The Records and Archives Management Services (RAMS) team takes on the role of the University's records management governance, administration, management, education, and regulation.
We provide a range of services including:
- policy and legislation;
- honorary awards;
- freedom of information;
- University Council and its committees and boards;
- recordkeeping; and
- University archives.
