As a service to ECU and as an integral part of the University governance framework, Risk and Assurance Service Centre (RASC) delivers a value adding independent assurance function in respect of control, compliance, risk management and business continuity with a focus on education and training.
We do this by increasing the awareness throughout the University of risk management, control and compliance by the conduct of consultative reviews and the provision of client-focussed advice supported by the use of an agreed and balanced reporting and follow-up process.
To guide us in this mission, we have adopted the following maxim: “Advising – Protecting – Assuring”. This maxim directly supports ECU’s values of: integrity, respect, rational inquiry and personal excellence.
