Partnerships

Welcome to Engagement@ECU: A Compendium of 100 Edith Cowan University (ECU) partnerships which demonstrate ECU's strong and sustained collaboration and engagement with a range of stakeholders including industry, professions, government, and the community.

These partnerships reflect ECU's commitment to engagement and to strengthening relationships with our many partners in all areas of our work to achieve mutually beneficial outcomes for the University and the wider community.

Engagement is central to ECU's mission and practice and we recognise that some academic goals can only be achieved through collaboration with the wider community that ECU was established to serve.

By deliberately valuing and developing engaged teaching and engaged research, our emphasis is strongly focused on building partnerships, forming linkages and working co-operatively with governments, agencies and industry, and engaging with the broader community. We are working to ensure engagement is integral to all our work.

In 2009, our first edition of the Compendium highlighted 50 examples of well-engaged practice across our campuses. This updated compendium presents 100 examples of engaged practices and partnerships with our community, spanning courses, schools, centre's and faculties, and involving academic and professional staff at all levels.

We hope that these snapshots will inspire you and others in your communities to consider new initiatives. The engaged practices in this document illustrate the opportunities and excellent outcomes that can be achieved when we work together in partnership.
