The School of Nursing, Midwifery and Postgraduate Medicine has a long association with the Centre for Nursing Research, Innovation and Quality at Sir Charles Gairdner Hospital.
This hospital-based research centre forms a unique and innovative nexus between the clinical and academic arms of the profession, providing sound research expertise in nursing research and evidence-based care.
The Centre provides an avenue for clinically based research and innovation imitates. Researchers work in collaboration with clinical staff to address important and relevant issues.
Sir Charles Gairdner Hospital, in recognition of the importance of the partnership, contributes funding for a Research Fellow position as well as a Professor of Nursing (Clinical).
