STR8 Talkin’ project

The STR8 Talkin' project has been developed by the City of Gosnells with the intention of engaging young people in the design and delivery of education programs that promote community safety and well-being and address antisocial behaviour.

This initiative aims to develop a long-term sustainable approach to the reduction of youth criminal activity, antisocial behaviour and the fear of crime in Maddington and Kenwick, areas which have a higher than average percentage of the population aged under 18 and higher than average unemployment of young people.

In partnership with the City of Gosnells, the Sellenger Centre has been commissioned to evaluate the project's educational programs over a three-year period. The research will contribute to best practice.
