Development of multi-laser DVD pickup
This project focuses on the development of a multlaser pickup structure for reading data stored in CDs and DVDs. The project enables faster data read/write Optical Storage Systems through parallel signal processing. The development is based on the integration of multiple laser pickup heads, synchronized so that several data tracks are read simultaneously. The benefits are likely to be substantial for industries including defence and security, the video camera industry, the data archiving industry and the gaming industry.
