  • Sarah Pillar

    Sarah Pillar

    ECU Speech Pathology graduate

It was a great hands-on opportunity to learn what a Speech Pathologist does

Speech Pathology is a blend of science and working with people and that was embedded throughout the course. We had practical units from first year where we would go out and observe Speech Pathologists and see how they worked and the environments they worked in. It was a great hands-on opportunity to learn what a Speech Pathologist does, so I was better prepared when I graduated.

Since graduating, I gained employment as a Behavioural Therapist at Intervention Services for Autism and Developmental Delay, assisting young children on the autism spectrum improve their communication, social and independent living skills.

    WAAPA Arts Management student

Arts Management is one of the essential occupations in life

WAAPA's Arts Management course teaches us about things like strategic planning, human resources and fundamental arts law.

I've also been doing a lot of activities, such as volunteering at the Art Ball at the Western Australian Gallery of Arts. I learned a lot while working in box offices, bars, and ushering audiences at WAAPA performances.
