Student stories

  • Rocheal-Lee Lock

ECU Bachelor of Science (Nursing) graduate

The clinical practice wards and simulation patients at ECU are as close as you’ll get to the real thing

I've wanted to be a nurse since I was 16 after I helped deliver my aunt's baby, so that just set the wheels in motion. I felt comfortable studying at ECU and practicing my clinical skills before I went go out into the real hospital environment. I can honestly say that my lecturers and tutors were the best of the best.

  • Gemma Wright

    Gemma Wright

    ECU Paramedical Science student

I chose ECU because the course came highly recommended, and was recognised across Australia

The course exposes you to really diverse learning environments, including an ambulance, a hospital simulation centre and even the WA Police Academy that's right next door.

  • Shona Halleen

ECU Health Science (Nutrition major) graduate

    ECU is definitely more hands-on

I have a passion for helping people and a passion for food, so putting them together comes into nutrition.

ECU is definitely more hands-on, that was a big aspect of the course that I enjoyed.

Being at ECU really opened my eyes to a whole new opportunity for where I can take my nutrition degree.
