Student stories

  • Kendra Campbell

    Kendra Campbell

ECU Science (Marine and Freshwater Biology) student

I've always had an interest in the environment and chose ECU because it offers hands-on, job-ready degrees

I have learnt so much from being out in the field and putting lecture content into practice. I've been lucky enough to get the opportunity to go on a two-week study tour in the Gascoyne region of WA.

I have also been involved in a number of volunteering opportunities, with Fisheries and Parks and Wildlife and these have been valuable learning experiences. My lecturers are passionate and knowledgeable about their study area too.

  • Angela Marchese

    Angela Marchese

ECU Project Management and Human Resource Management student

My work placement will count as credit towards my degree

I graduated from high school as one of the top ten achievers in my year. ECU's School of Business and Law has an outstanding reputation so I applied for direct entry using my high school results. The facilities at ECU are exceptional and I feel so lucky to have access to them. All students have access to unlimited Wi-Fi, library resources and computer facilities as well as private study rooms and areas. The lecturers are qualified, helpful and friendly, making me comfortable in my studies. These facilities give me the ability to complete every assignment to a desired standard. I also have the opportunity to complete a work placement for a company provided by ECU that will count as credit towards my degree.

  • Christie Kearney at ECU Joondalup Campus

    Christie Kearney

ECU Computer Systems Engineering student and Engineering Excellence Scholarship recipient

Study groups are friendly and easy-going.

Studying at ECU has been both hard work and rewarding. I have a lot in common with my fellow students. We share the same interests and goals, so lectures and study groups are friendly and easy-going. One of my most significant achievements has been receiving the Engineering Excellence Scholarship.
