Thankfully the weather was fine for the South West English Teachers’ Association (SWETA) Year 12 Revision day hosted at the ECU South West campus on Tuesday, 21 June 2016.

SWETA runs the annual Year 12 English exam revision day as a joint project with ECU. This year over 450 students from Manjimup to Collie travelled to the seminars delivered by senior teachers and external presenters such as Rod Quin (soon to publish his latest textbooks).

The sessions address all aspects of the English course and exam and include the distribution of a specially written sample exam.

SWETA (South West English Teachers' Association) is a cross sectoral professional association with member schools from the government, independent and Catholic sectors across the south west of Western Australia. The association engages in professional learning for its members and commercially produces exam papers sold across the state.

ECU enjoys a good working relationship with SWETA - providing the venue and catering for staff and students, giving students a terrific introduction to university life and a little extra motivation in these last few challenging months of Year 12.
