Two new initiatives to support higher degree and early career researchers in Social Work and Welfare education across Australia and New Zealand were launched at the Annual Symposium of the Australian & New Zealand Social Work & Welfare Education & Research (ANZSWWER) group in Townsville on 30 September 2016.
The first is an annual panel for PhD researchers to present aspects of their research beginning in 2017. The New Voices PhD panel will be chaired by Professor Charlotte Williams from RMIT.
The second initiative was the launch of the ANZSWWER New Voices in Social Work Research Blog for higher degree (honours, masters and PhD students) and Early Career Researchers (ECRs).
The Blog will provide a platform through which to showcase social work and human services research and connect with other researchers. The inaugural Blog curators are Dr Lynelle Watts and Dr David Hodgson, both Executive members of ANZSWWER and also Senior Lecturers in Social Work, School of Arts and Humanities at Edith Cowan University.
Contributors to the Blog may contact Lynelle and David at firstname.lastname@example.org
