Despite the dark clouds and chilly weather that threatened, the sun prevailed and a large group of staff and students enjoyed socialising in Kulbardi Court as part of the promotion for World Health Day, Friday 7th April.
WHO is leading a one-year global campaign on depression. The goal of the campaign is that more people with depression seek and get help. This year’s campaign #LetsTalk was the main focus and the information on offer from ECU, WHO and Headspace reflected this.
Aside from the information bay, everyone enjoyed a range of free healthy lunch wraps and snacks and fresh fruit juice from the Guild’s juice bar. There was plenty of giveaways including music CD’s, sunscreen, pens and balloons. In addition the nursing faculty ran a Glitterbug station. If you think your hands are clean….think again.
It was lovely to see so many people enjoying the campus surrounds as we get ready to take a short mid-semester break. Keep your eyes on the “What’s on” poster outside building 5 as we will be launching into some excellent on campus activities including six weeks of free Metafit training every Thursday.
