Quality + Equity

The Quality & Equity Unit provides leadership and strategic advice in the planning for, and management of quality and equity matters within the University. The Unit has responsibility to:

• Provide timely policy and strategic advice on all issues affecting the management of quality and equity activities of the University;
• Research and analyse emerging trends and issues and implications for the development of policy and/or operational decisions;
• To create a proactive environment with a culture that values quality and equity; and
• Establish and maintain good working relationships with internal and external stakeholders.

To achieve its role the quality and equity unit will ensure it:

• Provides leadership to ECU in the management of quality and equity issues;
• Enables the University to comply with relevant legislation including its obligations to statutory bodies;
• Effectively plans for, and efficiently manages, its responsibilities for quality and equity;
• Fosters a professional, cohesive and positive team that delivers sound strategic and policy advice; and
• Establishes effective professional relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
