Annual Review of Faculties + Centres

The Annual Reviews of Faculties and Centres are a key component of the Quality@ECU Model (Plan-Do-Review-Improve). The purpose of the Annual Review is to:

• Review and discuss performance, challenges and issues that impacted on a Faculty or Centre's ability to achieve agreed goals/objectives from its existing Operational Plan.
  
  
• Inform the development of the subsequent year's Operational Plan by agreeing on key actions.
  
  
• Highlight key issues impacting on the University and opportunities for improvement.

Guidelines have been developed to assist Faculties and Centres in preparing for their Annual Review.

Self-Assessment Report

An Annual Review Self-Assessment report template will be provided to each Faculty and Centre, pre-populated with relevant KPI, Finance and Human Resources data for comment by exception. Faculties and Centres will also be required to draw on their Operational Plans.The guidelines will assist you in preparing the Self-Assessment report.

Action Learning Workshops (Jump Start Your Annual Review and Operational Plan at ECU)

Workshops will be held in July and August to inform staff of the new Annual Review process and requirements and best-practice Operational Planning. The workshops will be an opportunity for Faculties and Centres to receive support in developing the Annual Review Self-Assessment report and Operational Plan for 2010.

The workshops for Centres have been conducted. Executive Deans and Dean of Regional Professional Studies will be contacted soon regarding Faculty workshops which will be scheduled for September.
