Edith Cowan University is proud of its commitment to Quality processes and improvement.
Activities of our ECU wide approach to quality, is through:
- whole of university reviews through AUQA;
- School Review;
- Centre / Faculty level Reviews; and
- individual Performance Reviews
assists us to improve outcomes in the University.
The Management for Performance System process is based on positive principles about reinforcing recognition and improvement of employee performance. It helps to establish a rewarding work environment; one where staff are committed to achieving the University's objectives. Involvement in the process allows staff to develop a clear understanding of the strategic and business directions of the University as well as a clear understanding of their own roles and the standards of performance expected of them. MPS also assists with engagement in continuous learning and development.
The process comprises a cycle of performance planning and review which consists of at least one formal meeting and supported, where possible, by regular informal feedback and support meetings between supervisor and staff member.
