Background
Matt has over fifteen years of professional teaching and training experience in Australia and overseas. Prior to joining ECU, Matt worked at Perth Institute of Business & Technology (PIBT) for four years and was involved in developing and teaching the University English Bridging Course (UEBC), Academic Development Unit, Academic English and the Professional Year Program.
Matt also has experience designing and implementing online learning solutions and web based communities. He was a founder of English Roleplay Pty Ltd, a peer-to-peer English language learning platform with over 15,000 members from 170 countries.
Responsibilities
Matt is a Student Learning Adviser and provides academic support to students through academic skills workshops, assignment laboratories, individual consultations and preparation of materials for the Academic Skills Centre. Matt is also a Post-Entry Language Assessment (PELA) marker.
