2011 ECU Business Experience Winners, Perth Modern School
ECU Business Experience
Challenge. Grow. Inspire.
Learn from industry-experienced lecturers and apply creative thinking to innovative challenges with the ECU Business Experience.
The ECU Business Experience is a full-day event where Years 10 and 11 students can meet like-minded talented individuals from other schools in the Perth metropolitan region, as well as be exposed to a tertiary education environment.
Competition overview
The competition day starts with students participating in an interactive workshop from the ECU Business Edge program, designed to enhance communication, teamwork and presentation skills. School teams then apply what they’ve learnt to a comprehensive case study and are given four hours to devise a creative, viable solution that puts their business skills to the test. Teams wrap up the day by presenting their analysis in front of a judging panel compiled of talented and influential industry professionals.
The day concludes with an awards reception, where teachers, students and their families are invited to stay for refreshments and prize presentations.
