Great Wall Soccer Tour
The Balcatta Soccer Club will participate in the Great Wall Cup Competition in the Under 16-18 age group. The Great Wall Cup is an international youth football/soccer tournament for boys aged 13 to 18 years and and will be held during 17 – 23 July, 2011 in Beijing, China. In 2010, one week of football saw fourteen teams from six countries play off in the first Great Wall Cup with Korean Gwacheon High School Football Team winning the U17/18 category. 2011 will be the second year that The Great Wall Cup has been run and an equally impressive line-up is expected to contest the cup.
Australian Human Resource Institute Leadership Conference
This conference series is designed to focus on the HR issues that affect us every day - the practical side of HR and people management. Expert presenters will run workshop sessions and present case studies to help delegates find out what other companies are doing in a range of HR areas – providing new ideas to take new ideas back to the workplace. HR Practices Day ran as full and half-day conferences around major Australian cities in March and April 2011.
Australian Institute of Project Management Annual Awards
The WA Chapter, Australian Institute of Project Management will hold a one day conference “WA – No Limits” on 15 September 2011 at the Perth Convention and Entertainment Centre. This conference will culminate in an early evening Cocktail Party (FBL ECU sponsoring the cocktail party only) and presentation of the state Project Management Achievement Awards 2011.
City of Wanneroo EcoVision Demonstration Home Project
With rapid growth and rising costs of living, combined with a concern for the environment, the City of Wanneroo community is looking for affordable solutions to living more sustainability. The EcoVision Wanneroo Demonstration Project will offer the community practical and innovative ideas to save energy, use water efficiently and minimize impacts on the environment.
CPA Congress
CPA Congress is the largest annual gathering of finance, accounting and business professionals in the southern hemisphere, held in over eight Australian states and four international locations. The event is designed to enhance business performance and deliver competitive advantage, aiming at showcasing business concepts and innovations.
ECU North West Metro Small Business Awards
The Faculty is pleased to support the North West Metro Small Business Awards, in conjunction with the Joondalup Business Association. The awards include the ECU Business of the Year Award.
Local Government Managers Australia Annual State Conference
The Faculty of Business and Law is pleased to be sponsoring the LGMA Women in Local Government Conference. The conference has been specifically tailored for the professional development of women aspiring to be leaders in Local Government.
Schools Conflict Resolution and Mediation (SCRAM)
The Faculty of Business and Law sponsors SCRAM training and events. The Faculty also manages SCRAM's website.
Thought Leaders Breakfast Series
Via APPIA Networking WA host a series of six Thought Leaders Breakfasts’ throughout the year. Jason Clarke, James Lush and a host of innovative progressive thought leaders will be presenting. These events are highly interactive, exploring the notions of leadership and innovation within business, and provide a brilliant opportunity to network with WA business leaders, entrepreneurs, business owners, as well as corporate and business professionals.
2010 United Nations Youth Association, Faculty of Business and Law Community Change Excursions
In 2010 Perth hosted the United Nations Youth Association National Conference, bringing together over 130 young people from Australia and New Zealand. The Faculty of Business and Law enabled delegates to visit and engage with minority community groups and organisations to celebrate diversity.
