Masters Proposal Presentation by: Michelle Anderson-Marks
The School of Management invites you to a Masters Proposal Presentation by Michelle Anderson-Marks:
Small business decision making: An intuitive approachSmall business is recognised as a major contributor to the social and economic constructs of any society. With 96% of all business in Australia classified as small, their collective impact on the natural environment is significant. As many small business owner-managers feel their environmental impact is minimal, improving their environmental behaviour is challenging.
In order to influence future decisions on their behaviour, understanding how these decisions are made is important. The purpose of this study is to explore what factors may influence the decision making of owner-managers to engage in environmental management practices and also to determine whether a particular decision making style is evident amongst this cohort.
A qualitative case study approach will be undertaken of the interaction between the small business owner-managers decision making process and engagement in environmental management practices.
