Ms Linda Riebe has recently been recognised in the 2011 Emerald Literati Excellence Awards as Most Outstanding Reviewer, for the journal Education + Training.
Emerald Group Publishing Limited is a leading independent publisher of global research with impact in business, society, public policy and education. Their journal Education + Trainingaddresses the increasingly complex relationships between education, training and employment. The journal gives specific consideration to young people in the transition from school or university to employment, and focuses on employability within the curriculum.
Education + Training is read by policy makers, educators and academics working in a wide range of fields including education, learning and skills development, enterprise and entrepreneurship, education and training, induction and career development.
The Most Outstanding Reviewer award acknowledges the contribution Ms Riebe has made to the journal’s success.
“I feel very honoured to have been recognised for reviewing for such a prestigious journal,” she said.
Ms Riebe is the Program Coordinator of ECU’s Business Edge, a unique core program for Business students that teaches employability, aiming to equip students with important skills like effective communication, problem-solving and critical thinking. She also currently teaches one of the units in the program: BES2100 Foundations of Business Leadership.
