Executive Dean scholarship winner

Friday, 21 September 2012

Congratulations to Bachelor of Law student Alan Watkins who has been awarded the ECU Executive Dean’s Honours Scholarship.

Alan is the first law student to receive this award as previously the scholarship was only open to Bachelor of Business (Honours) students.

For Alan, receiving the scholarship validates all the hard work he has put in over the past few years.

“I would not have been able to maintain my grades and participate in such an array of extra-curricular activities without the support of my partner and family,” Alan said.

“Clerkships and volunteer work is essential to your prospects and as such receiving the scholarship will really help with the financial pressures, enabling me to complete my honours.”

Scholarships have also been awarded to the following students from the Faculty of Business and Law:

  • Sanara Piyasenage – Bachelor of Business (Management) Honours;
  • Elissa Brown – Bachelor of Business (Marketing) Honours;
  • Greg Murray – Bachelor of Business (Marketing) Honours;
  • David Mercovich – Bachelor of Business (Marketing) Honours; and
  • Jessica Boswarva – Bachelor of Business (Marketing) Honours.
