Congratulations to Bachelor of Laws student Peter Viney, who is one of six winners in the Law Society of Western Australia’s plain English drafting competition for 2012.

From the six winners, Peter was the only first year student and the only ECU student to win.

2012 marks the 15th anniversary of this prestigious law student competition. The purpose of the competition is to emphasise to law students that it is vital that legal practitioners write clearly and precisely.

Peter completed and submitted his entry for the Competition as part of LAW1600 Legal Writing and Research.

Entries for the final competition are selected by the unit lecturers and submitted to the panel of judges for consideration.

Mr Viney has been provided with a winner's certificate from the WA Law Society and a cheque for $150.
