Business student Lauren Princi
Industry experience has paid dividends for business student Lauren Princi after completing a work experience placement at the Australian Institute of Project Management (AIPM).
Lauren, a marketing and accounting major, was heavily involved in the promotion of the Institute’s 2013 National Conference during her placement.
Central to her experience was the creation of a promotional video for the conference which she says was a valuable and exciting experience.
“It has built my understanding on how to compile and produce videos while at the same time maintain professionalism and stay open to constructive feedback,” she said.
“I have built a good relationship with one of the members of the Institute and am now convinced to become a member of the institute myself."
Experiences such as Lauren’s are not only of huge benefit to herself but to other current and future students of the University as forging links with industry groups allows other students to take advantage of that goodwill.
“Lauren’s collaborative approach to the project delivered a communication tool that will be a key promotional piece for AIPM for the next 12 months,” she said.
“The video has set a new, higher standard for future AIPM conference promotions and we wish her every success in the future.”
“Engagement with the AIPM provides us with insights for teaching and research and enhances the opportunities for students,” she said.
