The Faculty of Business and Law would like to congratulate Professor Craig Standing, Professor Dave Allen and Dr Robert Powell for their successful Australian Research Council (ARC) grant applications.

The ARC is an Australian Government statutory authority that delivers policy and programs to advance Australian research and innovation globally for community benefit.

“ECU is committed to improving its ranking amongst the Australian Universities and continues to strive for research excellence,” said Carol Beetles, Manager of Research Operations for the Office of Research and Innovation (ORI) at ECU.

“Securing funding through the National Competitive Grants Program is a significant achievement.”

Professor Standing will be using the grant to conduct research into ‘Managing knowledge in telehealth projects: creating better solutions and improving patient care’, whilst Professor Allen and Dr Powell will be researching ‘New methods for modelling and forecasting risk’.

The funding will enable high quality research projects to progress, as well as contributing towards the university’s national ranking score.
