Professor of Management Alan Brown has recently been elected as a Fellow to the Australian and New Zealand Academy of Management (ANZAM).
ANZAM is the principal professional body for management educators, researchers and practitioners in Australia and New Zealand. Currently there are 750 individual members and 50 institutional members.
ANZAM Fellowship is a distinguished level of membership available to those members with at least five consecutive years of membership, and who have established an advanced standing in some or all of the areas of management scholarship or practice, including research, education, leadership and governance.
The award recognises Professor Brown’s outstanding scholarship, education and service to ANZAM, and in particular, his dedication to research. His areas of expertise include human resource management, quality management, and small business.
Professor Rowena Barrett, Head of the School of Management at ECU, sees the appointment as an important academic recognition for Professor Brown.
“This acknowledges Alan's commitment to research and research training, as well as engagement in the academic community through ANZAM,” she said.
