Dr Denise Jackson is a Senior Lecturer on the ECU Business Edge program and the Coordinator of Work-Integrated Learning (WIL) in the School of Business. Denise is a member of the Faculty Research and Higher Degrees Committee. She is an Editorial Board Member for the Asia Pacific Journal of Cooperative Education.

BackgroundDenise has facilitated in Human Resource Management, Organisational Behaviour and Management in the tertiary sector in both the UK and Australia for over ten years. Prior to this, she worked in a number of roles, predominantly in Human Resources, in the UK financial and manufacturing sectors before running her own business in the tourism industry.
She maintains links with industry through her membership of the Australian and New Zealand Academy of Management, Australian Collaborative Network and liaising with stakeholders on the development and assessment of graduate employability. Her research interests lie in enhancing graduate employability through WIL opportunities and employability skill and career management development. She is also interested in the relationship between graduate employability and employment outcomes and best practice in graduate recruitment and selection to alleviate documented skill gaps.
