Centre of Excellence for MicroPhotonic Systems
The WA Centre of Excellence for Microphotonic Systems (COMPS) is part of the Electron Science Research Institute (ESRI) at Edith Cowan University. Our mission is to provide highly specialised technical knowledge and research needed to trigger a dynamic and vibrant microphotonic industry in Western Australia by facilitating high level collaboration between leading international research partners and by arranging access to state-of-the-art research facilities.
Research themes
We extend the photonic industry paradigm by integrating photonic devices with leading edge silicon chip technology to create microphotonic systems.
