Natural Resources Modelling and Simulation Research Group
The Natural Resources Modelling and Simulation Research Group focuses on time series forecasting and the development and application of geostatistical simulation and estimation methods for mathematical and statistical modelling in the areas of mining, environmental pollution and fisheries.
The Group has research projects and expertise in the areas of:
- Natural resources modelling and estimation, with emphasis on the use of geostatistics and time series modelling in problems associated with mining, petroleum, environmental pollution and fisheries
- Modelling disease transmission
- Implementation and evaluation of the use of technology in teaching mathematics.
